here's the email, took out the name, address, personal info.

Client: 00000 - AIS Services LLC

Original Creditor: Mesa Financial

Current Balance: $ 350

Dear,

This letter is to confirm the settlement agreement that was made in the amount of $200.00

This Payment must be received in our office no later than 7/28/08.

Upon final clearance of this payment your account is continued to be updated as “settled in full”.

That is the email of the settlement.

couple things, should I ask them to mail this too me so I know its a legit official, document. They also wanted me to pay over the phone with a credit or debit card. i dont really like the idea of them using one of my cards, would rather send a money order.

what do you guys think?

PDLs typically give a window of time which is almost impossible to adhere to. Have you gotten back to them indicating that you just received the offer with no time to repond? You could always use a prepaid credit/debit card. That way they have no access to your personal info. The decision is yours as too whether you accept the settlement or not. It would depend on your circumstances and how anxious you are to be done with them.

yes what state are you in?both entities are unlicensed therefore illegal,i wouldn't pay a dime without AIS validating the debt.that goes double for paying by phone with a check or
credit card#NO WAY.
