I was just called by Legal Mediation Practices and harassed by the same company, what should I do? I told them I would need to make arrangments, but they are still telling me the same thing. They left me a message saying that I need to get in touch with them today because they are meking a final decision on my case today.

Haha, Tell them to make their final decisions and call you in a month. It is a junk threat and will get them no where unless you allow it.

I have been getting calls at a neighbors and at my work from legal mediation. I have no idea why they would call these people and not call me personally. I don't have any kind of loans that are in default and have never taken out a pdl. I had to close out my account and open up another because of people taking money out and didnt know who or where it was coming from, so bank closed that account out and opened up new one. Have had no problems since. I found out someone had gotten my information and acquiring things, but didnt have to repay any back.

Unfortunately you have been a victim of identity theft. I would recommend you pull all 3 credit reports and verify each account on that report. At that point you should go to your local police station and file a report with them citing each account that is not yours. I doubt the PDL accounts will show up on there but you might have other items you don't know about. After you have that report you need to file it with all 3 CRAs and have them put on the extended fraud alert which lasts a few years. You will also have to contact each tradeline to dispute it.

i have been called by legal mediation practice and was left a message saying i needed to pay my payday loan. i told them i didnt have the money and he told me to find out the laws in califronia about writing checks to payday loans. he said he felt sorry but i needed to pay 580.00 dollars no later than sunday night or he would release files with my name and they would come to my home or job to have it enforced i asked him how could i pay it if i dont have it then he said to get a lawer and he told me i could pay by western union or using someone elses credit card with thier authorization. he then called me this morning left a message and told me he was releaseinn info as we speak...what do i do

I recieved the same kind of call on Saturday morning from Legal Mediation Practice. They also threatened to come to my job or home if I did not pay by Sunday, even after I offered to make payment arrangements. They were yelling at me and saying that I was being uncooperative (reading from a script obviously). And they had the nerve to hang up on me because the $300 payment I offered to make was not sufficient! The last thing I said to them was "God bless you and I can't imagine that you are happy on a job that requires you to belittle people.

keep out them, file reports against them, stand strong. you're good, you didn't do anything wrong, it will be okay.

I received a harrassing call Friday from this company. I am behind due to an accident that left me out of work for over 6 months. I told them that I am just trying to get enough money together to pay my utilies and I am behind a month on my rent. They told me after hanging up on me and being very rude that I better find the money for them. I told them I am a single parent with a child and my ex is out of work and I am not getting child support...Mrs. York told me to go get them money from my ex. I told her I can't because he was very abusive during the marriage and there is an order of protection since he almost killed me. She told me to deal with it and go get the money from him. They had me in such a state after calling me at work I could not function. This was also on the day my company was laying perople off due to the economy.
