I have gotten calls on my answering machine for the past two days from 866-570-6085. I checked the number out on this website and it came up on here as a place called National Credit Adjusters. The posts on here make them sound like a very sleazy company. I have not called them back. I would like to send a cease and desist/debt validation letter but I do not know my account number or anything with them. Can I still send a letter? I hate to call them back because I have learned the hard way that calling back these sleazy characters just keeps them harrassing you more. What should I do?? I am pretty stressed as I thought I was done with these kind of collectors. Their message said "please get a message to ***." Help!!

yes, they are bad in particular and you are right in general.CA'S
especially JDB'S can and will harrass more if you call them back.
i would wait to see something in the mail.give it about a week,if no letter call back say you never received a dunning letter and will wait for that then hang up.

They called me a year and a half ago, they are out of Kansas, take my advice don't talk to them and don't work any deals with them. I sent the DV letter so they can validate the debt and I never heard from them again. make sure to send the letter certified. Don't worry I dealt with them just make sure you send the letter.

Good Luck

j9284,

327 W 4th St,
Hutchinson, KS 67504-3023

That is the address I had. you can check in the yellow pages website to make sure that address still there.

It will be best if you have the account number. They will send you a letter in the next few days. They called me first and then I recieved the letter after few days.

Good Luck

National Credit Adjusters are SCAMS! I dealth with them 2 years ago (Lisa Ray) They were charging me 570.00 on a 200.00 ipdl. I had paid back that and more just one rollover fees. I wouldnt send them a dime. There is a lot of reading on them in this forum and on budhibbs.com. I sent them a letter asking for proof of the debt. They refused.

Yeah, they are pretty horrible. They will lie to you, scream at you (had that happen once), refuse to be recorded, etc, etc.

But, they will also report tradelines to your credit, which sucks. I have to deal with them sometime in the next couple of months in order to get their line off of my report.

I still have not talked to them even though they have called a few times so I still do not have an account number. As stated previously, talking to these type of people always makes it worse but I don't have an account number. I have still not received anything in writing to date and have not asked for it. Can I send a cease and desist just with my name and no account number??

I get an automated message from these people at about 3pm every day! Last night they called about 730pm CST & it was another live person. They threaten to take me to court on a summons, telling me they are "Investigators", etc. They tried telling me thay are "Lawyers" & so on! I could tell in one particular call that there were SEVERAL people in the background all talking on phones, so it was quite obvious they were teelmarketers of a sort, not any type of lawfirm...LOL! I did work ut a deal & after making one payment lost my job. They called back for a while threatening to see me in court again, but after ignoring their calls, nothing came in the form of a letter or a summons. Then they just stopped calling ...until the dreaded day they started again!

I just a letter back from the OK AG and basically it says their neither agree nor disagree with what NCA sent them, NCA is stating the my account will reamin open are there other complaints I shoudl file? NCA bought an illegal payday loan from CMG Group which I never appiled for they deposited $300 in my account and I paid back $360 and they say I still owe $480 on a loan I never agreed upon or signed anything. They have an electronic signature. When I had first talked with CMG they said they could have bought my info from a thrid party which to me means they just put they money in my account hoping I would never notice this has been going on now for almost a year. NCA already removed the negative info they put on my credit report so why are they still saying I owe it if they took that info off. I just dont know what to do at this point. Any advice?

I don't know in what state you reside, but here in Texas only 1 person has to know the conversation is being recorded. And it doesn't have to be them. You have a legal right to prove if someone is being abusive. I would record it anyway.

This outfit does make calls and likes to intimidate you into submission for a payment. Legally, they cannot use any threatening tactics .. you ask the person for their complete name, their complete mailing address and a direct phone number and let them know you need the information for the attorney general's office and they will hang up immediately. Check your individual state requirements for payday loan companies as you will probably notice that the majority of them are not licensed to do business in your state and in addition, charge higher fees than they are allowed. The best thing is to ignore them or send in a complaint to the attorney generals office.

I tried working a payment plan out with Lee Moore phone #(866)247-6999 ext. 1291, but he said they want the full payment today. I told him that I tried working this out with CashNetUSA, but they kept debiting my account which caused me $281 in NSF fees after I told them not to debit my account. I feel I paid them back by having to pay my bank back for the fees. Now, I am trying again, these people want my bank account number, which I am not given out. I learned the hard way, these people sell your information which creates ID theft. This is what happened to me. These people are crazy and think we will give info on ourselves to them. He did not want to give me an address on where I can send the payment to nor would he give me a reference number. He is calling to collect, but doesn't want to give info on where to send payment. He said he could not work it out with me and kept reading a clause to me. When I told him I hope all the information is recorded and not deleted or altered in anyway, he got upset and transferred me to the Senior collector (?). The phone rang and rang, no one picked up. And they call me to work and late or early morning hours.Quote:

i currently have a Federal lawsuit against Lee Moore and NCA...I didnt record conversations because he is very good at leaving voicemails that say everything they shouldnt say. I faxed a validation and cease and desist letter and he advised me via voicemail that the fax does not mean anything to him and he doesnt have to abide by it. My attorney contacted him and he was very apologetic and he has never called me again. I cant wait to receive a check from NCA for the violation!!!!
