Hello...I had a $279.00 loan back with cash2day4u back in 2006 and I made MANY payments toward this loan....then I changed bank accounts and did not pay any more. I have not heard anything from them until today...I get a call at work stating that they want money or they are going to call my supervisor and then the payroll department to have my wages garnished. I asked for a total of all the payments i had made to them back when I was paying and I was told $948.00 (OMG!!!). They said my current balance was over $4,000 dollars and they would make a settlement offer to me for $753.00....

I kept asking how they came up with the $753.00 and they said they could not tell me.

I asked for a statement of my account (something in a letter or email) showing me what my original loan was and how much I had paid and how the balance was over $4000 and they told me they could not give me anything. They said I amde a "verbal" agreement to take the loan and the only documentation I could have would be from my bank (which I have not banked with since 2006)....they refused to send me any type of account documents.

Question: Can they really garnish my wages? (in Texas)

Question: What should I do? --Should I setup small payments and pay them bi-weekly to get the $753.00 paid off and done with?

I really do not want them calling all around my company where I work. What should I do?

i would draft a revocation of any wage assignments from the
do-it-yourself link here.then i would give that to your HR person, then i would have your co-workers say you no longer work there.i'm sure they one of the overseas pdl's.if so they can't do anything but call.stop that cycle now.if you paid back what you borrowed in debits you are done.try not to talk to them at all.

These people are absolutely, positively certifiable!!! Do NOT pay them another cent. You have PAID this loan many times over. Instead, the next time they call to harass you, tell them not only are you calling your state's AG office, but making a police report and calling the FTC on their sleazy company. This is the only way they will stop!

They don't, but it is kinda hard to imagine that a payday lender that held a license let it expire and still loaned money and when the state says the loans made during that time were null and void still want to collect and will not answer your questions when you ask them about this. I told them until they sent me paperwork I am not sending a dime. Come on here and take me to court over a $200 loan. Heck the airfair would cost you more than that.
