Credit union in nebraska refused to stop check on payday loan stating that cannot stop advance payday loans, can they do that?

It is an actual check or checks. This is part if her reply. I never heard of that before. I gave them a 3 day advance notice verbally and was going to send in my written notice Monday as stated on the stopped check agreement. I have a courtesy pay, so it this is happening , I am going to have to cancel out of that so they do not pay the pdl going thru next week.
Please know that I received your request to have a stop placed on a check.
Unfortunately, we cannot place a stop to cash advance institutions.

I haven't ever heard of not being able to place a stop payment on a check before. Hopefully, someone else will come along who has some experience in this area!
