Good info...but
Hi,
This link was interesting, but does anyone have a link that would provide more guidelines? For instance, I'm about 45 days away from the 180 day mark of default, and have only had the money to settle with 3 creditors. There are 4 others that I owe over $30K to. What is going to happen next? I don't have any more money to settle with before the 180 day mark. Should I nego with the creditors that will come after them, or just fight it out? I need more stuff to read and more direction, any links you all can recommend on what to do? Thanks.

Have you considered putting them into some sort of debt management program? They will do the negotiating for you and send out the proposals. I resisted at first, but it was the best thing I could have done to help me get back on the straight and narrow.
Well, once you hit the 180 day mark, the Ocs will charge it off.
Well, once you hit the 180 day mark, the Ocs will charge it off. At that point, some may still keep it in house and some may send it to outside CAs.
Sorry, I don't have any links!
