So my work received a call from a place calling themselves United Legal Processing Division with a phone number of 310-775-9069. They told me they were from a legal department and a payday loan company is trying to collect the principal amount of a loan owed. They said they could not tell me which company is trying to collect just that they are calling for Midland Marketing & SJM. No the people I spoke with have VERY heavy middle eastern asscents and wanted my debit or credit card to process a payment and they refused to give me a physical address. I asked for Midland Marketing number and was given 323-928-4377 and spoke with a "Will Buxton: again very heavy accent.

I told them to sue me and immediately called the payday loan places I do owe, who are all working with me, and they said they had never heard of them and another said, "oh my god you are being scammed!" So I lloked them up and guess what they are a scam they are trying to steal your identity! I called my prepaid legal services at work and they said file a police report immediatly. I did that and the investigator also said he has seen this before and a file is being created by the FBI. So I called my local branch and guess what! THEY ARE!

I immediatly signed up for identity theft protection with a reputable company that you see on TV. This is so scary!!!!

yes, they do purchase pdl info and teletrack reports.the pdl's act so innocent, but chances are they sold your info to them.now that is SCARY.

Well sucks for them! I caught on to them and now calling their bluff. My work is pissed after I told them. They are going to pursue action with our lawyers as well.

I will NEVER make the mistake of doing this PDL nightmare again! Can't wait until it is done! They have me so mad right now I think my blood pressure is going to explode!

God help the company if I find out who sold the info!

I just paid them $200.00 dollars with a prepaid credit card, they told me that the police was going to show up at my door and arrest me for 3 counts of fraud.

Well curious I am not sure what to tell you other than you got scammed! They are not going to arrest you they aren't even legit businesses!

They called me again today and I asked what county they will be filing in and what law enforcement branch will be coming for me. THey just got mad and hung up on me.

Just be thankful you never gave them your bank information! Don't reload that card, throw it away! They are trying to commit identity fraud!
