They claim I did not pay my PDL to them back in early 2007. They have now debited, again, my bank account for $400 and plan on debiting for another $80. I called them and they claim they do not have a mailing address that everything must be sent via fax. The fax # they provided has been busy non stop for over 24 hours now.

How can I find out if they are even licensed to do business in my state of Oregon?

They refuse to provide me with an account number, account information etc .. all they say is I didn't pay (which I did) and they will continue to debit. Nor will they provide me with a copy of the written contract or anything else.

Any suggestions on how to handle this?

Do you still have proof they are paid in full? Do you know how they got your account information or is your present account the same one you had when you were paying them originally? I would dispute the ACH debit with your bank, and revoke ACH authorization with them (Geneva), however, since they already have your account information I doubt if it will stop them from debiting your account further. If it were me I would close out that account and open a new one at a totally different bank. I'm really not sure if they (Geneva) is licensed in Oregon but I doubt it.

Anyone else know?

I was dealing with this company also, but I included them in my bankruptcy. When I filed a complaint with the AG's office, they backed off. I had tried to make payment arrangements with them and I had told the Ag's office that. Well, of course, Geneva Roth lied to the AG's office and said they were willing to set up payment arrangements by money order, even though in the beginning, before I contacted the AG's office, Geneva Roth was telling me they will not set up payment arrangements, and my only way of paying was through my bank account.

I paid them last year like I was supposed to ... they claim I didn't so they debited $400 from my bank account already and they said they will be debiting another $80.

They won't give me any info over the phone, laughed in my face. I spoke with a person named Chris Sudduth who basically told me they weren't required to give me any information concerning the account, the account # nothing. I asked for a record of transactions and while he told me over the phone what he shows, he refused to provide it in writing.

When I tried again to get info he told me he was a Compliance Officer and said he wasn't going to answer anymore questions. I asked one more question, why he wouldn't provide me with a record of transactions for my account, he says "here is my answer" and then he hung up.

According to my bank they are doing an investigation but the guy at the bank was up front and said if they have already fraudulently taken the money then they will most likely come up with some fraudulent documentation to support it and I will most likely lose my $400.

I don't understand how I'm supposed to fight them if I can't get info from them and how is my bank supposed to help me if they can provide bogus documentation to support their *claim*.

I can't even tell if they are licensed to do business in Oregon much less anything else. Sounds like I'm just out $400 with no recourse.

Have you disputed the transactions with your bank? They can put a block on the company & try to prevent them from getting any more money. Hopefully they would also be able to refund some of the money due to their fradulent activity. The only thing with Geneva is that they can change their name & try to withdraw under a different name...
