I don't know. But I do know that I have removed my work number from my creditors so they can not contact me at work. Can you do that? I don't know a whole lot about CA's but can you remove your work number from them? perhaps give them an alternate number (cell) which you can screen?
Guess I don't know much about CR's since I didn't realize my job info appeared on that. does it really?? I know citibank asked for my job info before putting me into a hardship but beyond that, I am clueless.

My phone doesn't report...just my company name. They can easily find me through googling my company. Does anyone know how I can get this removed or can I write that it is incorrect and have them remove it?
The fact that CRAs have employment data is a key selling point f
The fact that CRAs have employment data is a key selling point for creditors/CAs who use credit reports for collection purposes. The bureaus don't easily get rid of that important data, because they need to make their customers (the CAs) happy, or else the CAs have no reason to pay for credit reports...
In other words, its in the bureaus interest to keep tabs on your employment, and they won't easily remove it just because you ask/dispute it.
The bureaus generally get your job info from inquiries that creditors make when you fill out a credit application. And so if you dispute the information, they can go to that creditor and get a copy of your credit application, and there will be proof that you supplied them with that information -- ie if you supplied it, they can hold it to be true and correct.
You could try disputing it, but it may not work for the above reason.

Change your occupation to read "Independent Contractor" ... that is what I did and I had absolutely NO problems with any of the 3 credit reporting agencies.
