Has anyone heard of a law firm call Legal Processing affidavit company? They called me last week telling me I was I had to pay $1073 that day or the papers would be filed in court the next morning at 11 am. When I asked who this money was owed to they told "cash advance payday loan co". I had never heard of this company and told them any outstinding loans I had were all paid in full. They would not give me any additional information. I had asked for copies of the loan documents and they told me they I could get 21 days after my loan was paid back. They did have my my bank account # but not the correct name of the bank. Also, that account has been closed since 11/2006. What is even stranger is I received an email from this bank 2 days later stating someone tried to access my account. It was from the fraud dept and there was a phone #. when I called the # they wanted me to enter my card # so I knew it was fake. I am assuming someone must have gotten some of my information and is trying to scam me by scaring me. Anyone ever heard of that company?


I have not heard of the company but it sounds like a scam. I think you are wise in not supplying them with any additional information. If you decide to speak to them on the phone again I would ask for the name of the company, the address and all applicable phone numbers. I kind of doubt they will give them to you since it is probably a scam. If they do offer them I would then hang up and send them a validation letter requesting a full account summary and I would also send them a cease comm letter. I would not speak to them on the phone or give them any information until they provide what you requested.

I received the same call and this will be my second call from them. This time around I was not sacred and was very abrupt with them. After 3 calls back because he kept on hanging the phone on me the number that was provided is now a disconnected number!!! This company is scam and do not give any infomation to them!!!

Did you get the number that these clowns have been calling you from? I get msgs saying I am going to be arrested and taken from my home at night because of this "legal" case against me. I am still here. Was very scared at first. Who are these people??? The number that is always left for me to call back is 213-221-1440, I tried once and blocked my number and it went to a voice mail box that said was too full to accept messages. Thanks for any help or replies back.

Just tell them you are defending yourself in court, don't verify anything and they will go away. Had them call me today (again), this time I told them they were party to my lawsuit against them, they got off the phone quickly.
