Legal procedures to deliver summons in Florida?

I went to pick up my mail yesterday at the UPS store, near my house where my husband and I receive mail from my business and the attendant gave me two different letters for a summons on a business loan done in 2001 in NJ with First National Bank, now Wachovia, where my husband was personal guaranty of it.
Is legal in the state of Florida for a lawyer to serve a summons in a UPS Store, where the clerk had a bunch of certified letters from other customers together with my husband's social security number, drivers' license and personal information available to anyone to see?.
Nobody from the attorneys office: Kass, Shuler, Solomon, Spector and Singer, PA from Tampa, Fl. did anything to contact my husband previous to this.
We have a personal address at a house listed in the county records for property taxes.
What action can be taken against these lawyers and the Special Process Server Company that put my husband' personal information in jeopardy to be stolen and viewed by anyone at the store.
