Asset Acceptance reported me to the credit bureau twice for the same collection account but different balance . The Company (SBC) sold my info to Asset in 2004, i settled on the account with just one payment thinking that it's all over, but i was wrong. Equinox sent a letter with a new collection account number but different balance they're asking me asking me to settle again. I called Asset but they told me that the company(SBC) had split the bill and i am accountable for the new collection account with Equinox. How do i figure this out? This is confusing me . How do i found out if the company did split the bill? Help!!!! the Company doesn't even exist anymore it was taking over by AT&T and AT&T have no record of me owing money. What should i do? I need to get Asset off my back. Help!!!!!

DV both companies and make them prove you owe this. If AT&T has

DV both companies and make them prove you owe this. If AT&T has no documentation, then these two CAs can't get it, so they will not be able to validate. You can force them to remove those entries from your credit report, but it could mean fighting it all the way to court and suing them.

take them to court get urself a lawyer quick and sue these guys asset acceptance is nothing but a crooked ass place and all they want is money. if u dont take them to court now they will reposes anything they can of yours and threaten to sell it on u on a monday by 8 am when they took ur vehicle on a friday and u have til monday morning to get them money they are so crooked. SUE SUE SUE ASSETS ALWAYS SUE ASSETS!!!!!!!!!!!!
