Now you have the history:
Wondering if there is anything I can do to get the judgement off my credit reports?
Will just getting negatives deleted off my CR jump the score?
Im about 8k in debt, but also establishing good credit also. Would bankruptcy be a better option then just paying and trying to get accounts removed?
The main factor is I work and go to school and pay rent so I dont have a lot of money after my bills are paid but yet I really wanna get out of this hole so that I can fix everything and in the future buy a house etc....
Thank You!
Chris

What state are you in? There are some states with 3-4 year SOL and that will factor a lot in your plan to clean up your credit. You will need to pull your reports and go over them for any discrepencies. Whichever ones are with CAs or JDBs you should DV them, make sure they are legally able to collect and are collecting the right amount.
There are a few ways you can go about this, you can save money and offer settlements to those accounts that have been validated, or you could try making payment arrangements (get everything in writing), or you can simply make payments, keep track of these payments and eventually pay off the debts (but that one is tricky and risky, for that will constantly update the SOL on those items).
As for the judgement, those are hard buggers to remove...is it a paid judgement or is it still outstanding?
Whatever you do, avoid bankruptcy. That will stay on your credit
Whatever you do, avoid bankruptcy. That will stay on your credit for up to ten years. You do not need that!

I live in Illinois, my judgement is outstanding for a eviction that they want me to pay 5k on! wat does DV and JDB mean?
DV: debt validation - This is getting all the documentation from
DV: debt validation - This is getting all the documentation from the CA such as contracts, full acounting statements, etc.
JDB: Junk Debt Buyer - These are scummy bottom feeders that buy old debt for pennies on the dollar then tack on ridiculous fees on top of the full dollar amount of the debt and strong-arm you or harass you into paying it. I hate those guys..can you tell? :)
SOL:
Sales (UCC - not sure what ucc stands for): 4 years
Open Account: 5 years
Written Contract: 10 years
Domestic Judgment: 20 years
Ouch...would credit cards be under written? Need to figure out what the UCC stands for and see if debts can be lumped under that.
Looks like on the judgement you may be out of luck, since now they got a judgement you can't DV them because all they will have to show you is the judgement itself. I am not very good with judgements so hopefully someone else can come by and help ya on that.
I'm guessing ucc stands for unsecured credit card?

Is there someone I can contact to help me get out of a judgement
Is there someone I can contact to help me get out of a judgement for the balance of my truck. I was taken to court and signed a paper that I would pay, but not sure I can pay the entire amount. They were not willing to take any less!
