PDL - Debit Account after Revocation of ACH

Sending an ACH revocation letter unfortunately isn't going to stop them. You need to either put hard debit block on your account, close it, or work out with your bank to block the PDL completely. However, that doesn't always work either since they sometimes run the amounts through as checks.
Block Pdls from debiting bank account
I closed my bank account on Sept 1st - My 8 pdls attempted to debit interest/fees - I got a card in the mail from my bank stating check#/debit#, Amount$/Action taken and Fee charged. There is a check # which I do not recognize - there is an amount of money - the action taken "Returned" and Fee Charged "Waived".
I just got another card today date of notice 9/15/2008, check#, amount $400, Action taken "Returned" and Fee charged "Waived".
So, does this look like I am safe from any debits from any of the 8 pdls?
Should I still send each pdl a Revocation to debit from my bank account/accounts?
thanks

I would still send the revocation letter.
Some will abide by it and some won't.
In my case in the past 2 weeks, I had 2 PDL's still try to take their money by debit and then they tried to run checks through. I noticed it because the check number wasn't correct and I knew I hadn't written any checks for that amount. They also tried to take a lot more than I would have ever owed them. I called my credit union and they returned the check. In order to save myself any further grief, I closed the account.
Revocation Letter
Thankyou - Is there a sample letter somewhere for this revocation letter? I didn't see one on the self help page. I have only been able to get the mailing address to one of the 8 pdls - I have asked the others at least twice for their mailing address and they will not give it to me. Will the revocation letter be valid sent via email?
I was thinking - maybe if I google their toll free number and their company name I might get a mailing address.
If you use the search it should bring up sample letters for you.

If you can't find addresses, send your letter by fax.
I faxed all of mine since most of them at least have a fax number listed. You can also email them.
Send the letter both ways to insure they got it.
This way too, you have your fax receipt that they got it.
