Well we are going to be under mandatory evacuations starting at 8am tomorrow. I live along the cost in Texas and while we might not get the full force of the middle we are definatly going to be on the dirty side of it. I'd rather take the brunt because the dirty side of means a lot of flooding, especially if it decided to stall.

My family is going to head out tomorrow likely twards Waco, Austin, or Dallas.

yes,my prayers with you FYI and everyone caught in this storm.

fyi-I wouldnt go to Dallas, that is also in the path of the storm, isnt it?

We had to evac from Gustav and ended up near little rock, arkansas for a week. Luckily we came back to a house that was still standing, unlike katrina....best of luck to you and yoru family, we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

OMG, FYI, Stay Safe and take care!! And PLEASE check in as soon as you can and let us know things are well.
My best friend's 91-year old mother is being bussed out of Houston to a sister retirement facility in Dallas--and my friend is naturally a wreck about it. This one is going to be a doozy!

BAH! I keep trying to post but for some reason I keep hitting a wrong button and all is lost!

We made out ok. Our home is fine as well as most of our town. I am glad we don't live in Houston anymore because they are having some major issues along with Galveston and those who live directly on the coast. The electric was back on yesterday and we were so happy. We had our first decent showers and baths and I must say that being clean can make you feel like a new person! The kids start school tomorrow again.

sorry that it took me so long to get an update! :)
