JOHN FRYE LAW OFFICES PHONE CALLS
Date: Fri, 09/12/2008 - 08:03
Hi,
I had a credit card account with HSBC that I fell behind on about 8 months ago. Once I missed one payment due to illness, the required minimum payment became way too high for me to be able to pay. Now I kep getting calls from "the Law Office Of John Frye" telling me "they need a call back". I Googled the name and found a bunch of people in a similar situation.
My debt was originally $5000 but it now almost $7000 with fees and such added on. My question is, how far canthey take this? I would be morethan happy to send them a payment every month but I really can't afford more than $20 or so each month. I haven't ever called back and made contact with them as I plan to just wait until I get another letter and then start sending $20 checks each month, more when I happened to have it available.
Should I be concerned? I rent an apartment and have no property and such and I only work part time due to an illness.
Should I just file bankruptcy to end all this or are these people full of hot air? No one has threatened me or anything in these phone messages...all they say is "we need a call back". I ask only because from what I've read, it's only a matter of time before they do start threatening me.
Any advice anyone can offer is appreciated as after reading about this law firm I am a bit frightened.
I live in Massachusetts and last paid on the account about 8 or 9 months ago. Any adive is apprecited. Thanks in advance folks.

Until and unless you pay them the late fees and other related charges are going to mount. I think you can go for a debt settlement program which can reduce your debts by 60% or more. You can also go through the following page to know more on the different debt solutions available to you: -
