UPDATE........

OK. Account closed. All letters sent. Waiting for the results. Because of the PDL's debiting my account I had several checks to bounce. Those are being taken care of first!!! I have called everyone and explained the situation to them...they are very understanding and will work with me on getting them taken care of. I contacted some of them before they even knew the check was being returned. I think this impressed them and let them know I wasn't a deadbeat. I hope this helps someone who is not sure about what to do and what can happen when you close the account. I hate the checks being returned, but at least now the money will be there every week to pay for them!
