Acushield Financial/Unified Financial Solutions
I can`t even find their report on the BBB. They must be brand new so of course they don`t have any complaints yet with the BBB. I did check and they are members of TASC. Honestly I would shop around with other settlement companies and compare.

Thanks for the help. I am waiting on a call back from a couple of other companies. One of them is debt settlement America, which i have read some good and bad things about. This is overwhelming to say the least. I will keep you posted. Once again thanks Mobile.
Unified Financial Solutions/Acushield Financial
I worked at Unified Financial for 2 weeks. Save your money and go with someone else. They overcharged my own girlfriend. The manager Anthony Fabrizio is a complete idiot who needs a good slap in the face.

Past employee's should reference the employee manual they sign prior to making any comments online regarding anything that could in any way shape or form demean the company????????s reputation. Furthermore, In house counsel will contact this board????????s administrator to investigate the identity of the person or persons responsible for posting this information. The employee whose name is referenced will also be notified and could potentially move forward with legal action once the poster is identified. Furthermore, Unified Financial Solutions is a referral based company. Acushield Financial who is the recipient of Unified's qualified clients is responsible for handling all customer service and negotiations. Acushield for the record does have a satisfactory record with the BBB. Additionally, has settled 160 million dollars in consumer debt. Some of the largest debt settlements companies in the country have not accomplished even half of that.

Haha. You have to love when one anonymous guest threatens to track down another anonymous guest and sue over some random post. I hate to break it to you but the chances of IP tracking a non registered guest is pretty slim. Compound that with a judge actually caring about this post and your chance of accomplishing anything is approaching zero fast and furious.

Interesting to see that once again another company is affiliated with Acushield, that would be the Acushield that was just in trouble with the the West Virginia Attorney General correct? That would be the Acushield that was once Debtco correct? For your information "Compliance" the $160 million dollars in consumer debt that has been settled is dating back to Debtco in 2000. It's looks as though Acushield has even given you "Compliance" false information. In respect for Scotish.Army who is a consumer that is now drawn into the mindset of most consumers who research debt settlement companies on the internet.
When working with a debt settlement company make sure that they do a complete detailed income & expense worksheet with you. Be aware that your credit will be hurt and that you will in most cases receive calls from bill collectors.

The guy who posted the comment about Unified is Jason Swinson. He couldnt sell debt settlement the right way so he enrolled his own girlfriend to remain employed. Anyway, he got fired for poor production. I sat right near him while he was employed at Unified. Still bitter Jason?

i signed up with Unified and i have no complaints. They r legit.

This is a consumer story from ripoff report . com
I first signed up for debt negotiation with DebtCo based in San Diego, CA in 2002. As part of the plan, I opted to do EFT to a 'set aside' account with them. I was pleased with the progress of debt negotiation even though it took a few years.
By the time my last account was up for negotiation, DebtCo had become 'AcuShield Financial.' Unfortunately, that's where the problem began. The last account was recommended for their 'Debt Dismissal' program. I talked to someone named Nick Riney in July of 2006 who assured me that it would take no longer than 3-6 months to determine whether the debt dismissal would work for that last account.
In December of 2006, I began calling Nick Riney to get a status of the debt dismissal effort and received no response. After a month, I got worried and began badgering the Customer Service people at AcuShield for answers. I received a MAJOR run-around from them until I used the word 'attorney.' I then received a call back from Nick Riney who made promises he didn't follow up on.
I finally heard that the debt dismissal had worked and that my set-aside funds would be debited $2500 and the rest of the funds ($3500) would be returned to me in 60 days.
I found out recently that my last debt had NOT been dismissed and have yet to receive any of my set aside funds from AcuShield. It has been two years now since my first discussions with Nick Riney in 2006 and after multiple phone calls and promises, I still have no results and no return of my funds! I am angry and upset that I've been treated this way.
As far as I'm concerned, AcuShield has stolen $5800 from me. At this point, I guess I will need an attorney to get any results.
Let this be a warning to others: They may get some of your debt negotiated but when it's all over, they will steal your set aside funds. Do not allow them to hold your money for negotiation purposes -- there's a new definition of 'thief' in the dictionary and it's AcuShield Financial!!

My name is Matthew Sechter and I am the owner of Unified Financial Solutions and if you have problems call me directly. Also DollarsandSince it is very easy for be to obtain the information from everyone that is posting on here.
Unified Financial
I have been a client of Unified for the past 9 months and I am very happy with their services. I also checked Unified out on the BBB which they are not a part of. However, the organization of TASC is like the BBB for settlement companies. After doing my own research I do know that TASC doesn't certify a settlement company if they aren't legit or abide by certain guidelines

Actually I am quite bitter that Unified Financial Solutions is a complete scam and that you would even still be working there Aaron. However I just got of the telephone with the "real" Aaron and you should stop posting junk. By the way Mr. Sechter where is my last pay check? Should I report that to the state of Florida? Your name on google brings up some interesting stuff about Juicy Leads another scam company.

Flip the script on your story and why don????????t you paint the picture of what your life would be like if you hadn????????t enrolled. Now, you said it took a few years which means 3 right? You got out of debt in 3 years!!! If you considered a debt settlement program I think it????????s fair to say you weren????????t making over the minimums and probably strapped monthly. Now, you????????ll agree making minimums even with fair rates typically won????????t bring down balances for quite some time. It would have probably taken you a minimum of ten years and that????????s if you never made another charge. If you hadn????????t enrolled into the program you would still be in debt and probably would have paid back triple what you borrowed. Why don????????t you post what your total debt was and minimum payments prior to enrolling. Let????????s compare overall dollars spent by you in both scenarios. 5,800 acushield supposedly owes to you will seem very minimal if you calculate what you would have spent making payments to those creditors. This here is a clear case of a pessimistic person. You should be a giant advocate of this concept.

Your last post Nick_D is referring to a consumer post that was on ripoff report . com. Furthermore I think that this thread has been hijacked in all fairness to what Scotish.Army. I believe that we should be giving some sound advice for the consumer. Unified Financial may in fact be a good company, but if you are doing business with Acushield the newspaper, television and history of the net will indicate that there is a fairshare of complaints against them.

Really, I bet you a Dollar and a Cent that I could post some random crap as a guest and you would never know it was me. Apparently someone already figured out who posted though based on what was said so I guess it is irrelvant. Thats only half the battle though. The other half is what he said really doesn't matter. It would be a complete waste of time for a company to chase someone for a comment like that but whatever. If you truly are the owner of that company and you do waste time on it then I would have to agree with the comment that was made.

Not all companies are high pressure, however most settlement companies are into what is called a "one-call close" meaning they want to sign you up on the first phone call. Just let the counselor know from the moment you speak with them that you are taking your time. Also check the BBB and make sure that whoever you choose is also managing your account for the length of the program. Best of luck :=)
I too worked for this company and was one of the first employees
I too worked for this company and was one of the first employees. Before I worked at Unified Financial I worked for a debt settlement law firm in the greater Ft. lauderdale area, so I have about 3 years worth of debt settlement expertise. As an employee at first it was great to hear about how every rep would make six figures a year and how there would me a state of the art employee break area, none of that happened. After seeing certain people get the better leads I started to get bitter and stuck it out, eventually I just left because there was favorites on Anthony Fabrizio's list. Personally I think the owners intentions were good, but even now I still talk to others that still work there and they complain about Anthony Fabrizio and how he just yells at reps and acts like he is God. Again no disrespect to the owners, but change your manager fast, before you lose the rest of your staff.
Mr. Fabrizio
I also worked at UFS. The owners, and the managers are all stand up guys. If you do right by them and do your job, then you know that. Only the people who are lazy, cant sell, or are just plain retarted and have no common sense would have something bad to say about them. I have been trying to find a good set of owners and managers to work with where i live now. I know all about the debt industry. Settlement is a good way to go. Take it from me. Dont listent to any negative crap (cause thats what it is, CRAP) that you see on this site about Unified. Enroll, follow instructions, and you will save thousands of dollars and get out of debt.
By the way...
You want to work for or do business with a company with a Scumbag manager ...go see the Sales Manager at United Financial Systems.

Nick Passalacqua and Matthew Sechter back at it again, the Bear and Bull Fund wasn't enough of a headache. By the way Mr. Sechter you still own Shawn money, however I don't think he needs your money..copycat. Nick your still an okay guy and for the record beautiful office, just don't lose it.
Does anyone know if this is the Nick Passalacqua that sells lead
Does anyone know if this is the Nick Passalacqua that sells leads? If so he is a standup person and his debt settlement leads are good.

This message is to "hyrdoponix424" in ref to scumbag manager: First of all complete low blow as our company has never bad-mouthed your company at all. I am reading this thread and it's just "plain stupid" and ruining a name for the industry and now my company is brought into this? Thanks.

I signed up with this company months ago and thought that I was being supported by a lawyer firm? The back and forth going on here is making me feel not easy. I paid more than $1000 in lawyer fees so far and have called 3 times and no one ever call me or my lady back. "UFS" how do I speak to about my money back?

United Financial Systems vs. Unified Financial Solutions
This is to those who are bad mouthing the managment at Unified, and dont know what it is like to work for a bad sales manager. This is not about the company United, or thier debt programs. My past comments in no way were intended to be disrespectful to United Financial Systems as a company, and I do apologize. The owner of United Financial Systems, is a smart business man who makes good decisions except for keeping a certain sales manager. The employess of United deserve much better. They work hard, and are dedicated to helping thier clients become debt free. Many people share the same views about this particular managment. Both United Financial Systems and Unified Financial Solutions offer great programs to help thier clients get out of debt. The difference is that when working at Unified you get a dedicated sales manager who is there to answer your questions, and treat you as an equal with your co-workers. The management at Unified will do everything to ensure that you are being taught how to properly help your clients become debt free. At United, the sales manager is no where to be found for the majority of the day and you are left doing most of his work by yourself. Again, no disrespect to the United Financial, and i am not taking away from the quality of thier ability to help you beceom debt free, but if you want to work in a more professional environment for a competant, hard-working and respectful sales manager, go work at Unified.

Also, this is not giving a bad name to the Debt Industry. This is an Industry that will continue to help millions of Americans, despite what is written in these blogs. Both Settlement and debt management (which is the same as credit counseling) are both good options for someone who is in debt. So dont try to blame me or this blog if you are not enrolling as many people as you used to. It is a direct result of the attitude, work ethic, and many other negative characteristics of the Sales manager at United. This industry is still thriving. If you are not, it is because you are doing something wrong, and your employees are unhappy.

What an interesting thread..this is exciting!! The funny part is I worked for both companies and now clearly see that debt settlement does more damage than good.
Joe, you dont know what you are talking about. Settlement saves
Joe, you dont know what you are talking about. Settlement saves you thousands of dollars and helps you eliminate your debt in 36 months or less. You wind up paying 40-60% of what you owe as opposed to 120% on a credit counseling, with the same effect to your credit. And if you worked at both companies and have half a brain, you would know that. And you would also know that what i said about the managment at UNITED is a thought that is held by almost every counselor who has ever been employed there.

Both are good programs, stop bad mouthing the programs, and be honest with the people. Let them know both companies offer effective programs, and the only difference is poor managment at UNITED! Unless your didnt really work at both!

debt settlement is for certain individuals and in my opinion is a last resort to avoid bankruptcy. I will say that for the companies that front-load and collect 30-40% of fees in the first 3-5 months are simply put, not going to keep the consumer motivated, hence not enough money saved towards a settlement with the creditor. That doesn't mean that a settlement company shouldn't collect an up-front fee, but if a consumer does not see a settlement within the first 6 months, chances are they will drop out of the program. I think if more companies start charging less up front and more on the back the revolving door will slow down for most companies.

I know many people who have. I just have heard that he doesnt do anything all day, doesnt help the employees, and steals peoples ideas. I hear that working for him is a complete knightmare. In contrast i know many people who have worked for Mr. Anthony Fabrizio at Unified. Those same people say he is a great manager who helps his employees and treats them with mutual respect. Thats why when you have people on here saying that Anthony Fabrizio deserves and i quote " a slap in the face", you have to state the truth. The truth is that person is bitter and has a personal problem with Anthony, and has nothing better to do than come on here and bad mouth both him and Unified. So again, anyone considering working at Unified, or doing business with them. Do not listen to anything negative that people on here say about them. If you are considering doing business with United Financial, they are a good company too. However if you consider working there. Be prepared to go to work everyday and say to yourself; How is it that i work for this moron? He should be working for me.

I would like to chime in on this thread as I have watched it for the past couple of days. I worked at Unified Financial under Anthony and was treated with respect, but maybe he personally wouldn't say anything disrespectful about me aloud in front of co-workers for his own personal reasons. I have thick skin and could care less if a manager get's off by yelling that there are no deals on the board or that we need to "step it up".
But that all ended after I realized that I was driving 45 minutes each way to work and at that time working 60 hours a week -living at the office!..I can remember one morning both me and 2 other individuals we're 2 minutes late because of an accident and the owner locked the reception area doors basically said go #$%^ yourself and you can wait until I am done with my meeting and then I will let you in. I worked that night until 10pm and finished off my week.

well pikers show up late to work and make excuses. if your on time then you late. if your 5 minutes early then your on time. If you would have planned to show up 5 minutes early maybe you wouldnt have missed that meeting. nobody told you to work till 10 o clock. and thats what a manger is paid to do, motivate. IF you really had tough skin, then being locked out of a meeting wouldnt bother you!

I have been watching this too. How come the person from United only made one comment about getting his company involved and then nothing since then. If the other person on here wasnt right about that sales manager, wouldnt he be saying something?
