Yes your SSI and disability plus any state or federal tax returns or stimulus checks can be garnished/seized for a defaulted student loan.

I have repeatedly requested copies of signed contracts for school loans I supposedly co-signed. I have gotten only one and it wasn't even notorized. I don't recall agreeing with all these loans they (AES) says I co-signed for. What gives? Aren't they supposed to be able to provide these? I have nothing in my records indicating I so-signed 8 different loans.
What can I do - they keep harrassing me and threatening me to ruin my credit.

Private and federal loan apps are never notorized.

The prom note that you did receive..who was the loan for? What type of loans were these? Is it your signature?

Student loans will ruin you credit if you are the cosignor and the loan defaults.

What are my options in dealing with collectors of two loans totaling $50,000 that are 5 years old? I have salary that I can barely make ends meet.
