So, what does this fellow have planned? Is he gonna say he wants more? anyone have any input or tips on what to tell him when I call back? Do you think I can get off paying him less than 300? I do want to get this collection mark off my bank history.

For them to file a suit the burden of proof is on them. Many non-legitimate people will try to get your financial info in the guise of a past bill. Ask for proof of the charges to be mailed to you, before you verbally agree to pay anything.

If I remember someone saying, on this post, if you make payment arrangements (even after the SOL..) you would have 're-started' the SOL on this debt. Please..someone correct me if I'm wrong. But.......I learned the hard way, on a debt that I 're-started' and din't really realize what I was doing.
