I'm thinking about switching banks and I'm looking at US bank. Anyone use them? Can you tell how your experience has been? Thanks Reny

I would not suggest you go to US BANK ...They have a fee for everything...But one thing i can say positive they do have good customer service...

Look into safe credit union...ITS THE BEST!

I recently opened a savings and a checking account at us bank. in less than 2 weeks I also closed those accounts due to the banks incompetence. They failed to release a "hold" on my checking account after signing the signature card but i was told it was okay to use, I even made deposits to this account, I switched my auto insurance policy online and paid for the new policy with this new checking account . 10 days later my son was in an auto accident and i find out later that day that my policy was cancelled due to the bank not honoring the payment. ( due to someone not doing their job and the hold not being lifted ) . They were very sorry for my experience and yes I had signed the signature card and yes the money was in my bank but due to the "hold" they were unable to pay the insurance company. I am currently Looking for an attorney to sue them for all the damages I am now facing as a result of their incompetence.

Ps . Their customer service sucks. I was told by one employee to go to the branch where I signed my signature card and tell the branch manager off big time . ( might make me feel good for a few seconds but no real answer to righting the problem they created ) and on another note when I opened my savings account I went to a branch to sign the signature cared and they didn't even know what I was talking about. The Internet representative for US Bank told me the only explanation she had for that was "ignorance". She sure hit that nail on the head.

We switched banks to US bank because it was convient where we lived. Needless to say we are switching banks back to our old one. THey charge $37.50 for a bounced check than add $8.00 a day for everyday your overdrawn. Than when we first opened the account they held my check for 10 days and everthing bounced. THey are absolute shisters!!!
I would never reccommend them to anyone

Wachovia said I couldn't bank with them anymore because of an unsettled-closed account from Wells Fargo. I was panicking because I didn't have any other banks to go to. I went to US Bank and spoke with the ops manager. He was very nice and he let me open a checking account with a 10-month restriction -- only branch banking meaning no checks, no bill pay, no ATM or check card.

I don't know yet how I feel about them since I just opened my account 3 days ago. The ops manager said that their back office said to close the account but he kept it open because of the "branch-only" agreement.

Now I have to figure out how to pay my bills with no checks or bill pay ... :(

i've been with us bank for a few weeks now and so far no problems. their fees are high but the lady explained to me all the fees when i signed up for the account. every bank charges high fees for nsf, bottom line dont overdraw your account and you wont get charged fees. they are a little diffrent than some banks i have used, as far as their check cashing policy, direct deposit is good for immediate use, but if you cash a check they only allow 100 available and will but a few day hold on the rest of it. thats the only thing i thought was kinda weird, but i have direct deposit so it really doesnt effect me. i would say base it off personal experiance, if you dont like it you can always change banks. not every buisness out there can please 100 % of their customers so every bank is going to have people who love them, and people who hate them.
