I am working with Care One and while on the program Chase sent my two accounts to CA's (two different ones). Care One spoke with Chase and had both accounts recalled (special situation and normally doesn't happen), which was confirmed by both CA's. Now, the one CA tells me Chase reinstated the account with their office the next day. I had called her to let her know the account was recalled and to stop calling when she said, yes I know but they gave it back to us the next day because we have a contract with them and they forgot or didn't notice.

I am so confused, frustrated, and scared. I can't make their settlement and she knows it and was trying to work out a payment plan with me which would have been the same as the payment I was making to Care One. Would Chase recall and then replace or is she just trying to get me to send her the money so she can get the commission for something.

Care One is supposed to follow-up again with Chase, just to confirm, but I am dying over here waiting to hear back.

Any ideas/thoughts. Are these "contracts" for real or is this just another tactic.

Thanks!

Recall??? never heard of it. What's it mean..in the 'debt' aspect? I think I understand the concept...........in this case, Chase 'gave' the account to Care One, but..they took back the account..am I right? How is this done?

Chase did recall the account...the CA was basically lying so I would pay her vs. get the account back on the program.

sdchargers_63, to answer your question. I am on the debt management program with Care One Credit. I have been on the program for over a year. I missed a payment (actually it was just late), and screwed up and didn't tell them ahead of time so they sent my two accounts to two different collection agencies. I had someone from Care One contact Chase, explain the situation and their contact overruled and recalled the accounts back from the CA's. Care One is just the program I work with to make my payments to my creditors.

Thanks!

So........you're saying if you work with a certain debt consoladation company, and you're late with a payment, that the company can 'give back' an account to the OC? Mmm. can you tell me what kind of fees you're paying for Care One?
