Minnesota Licenses
As Cash Central does not have an office in Minnesota, we are not required to obtain a Minnesota license, but we are regulated by the state of Utah.

So how do I find out the Laws in Missouri, Utah, Oklahoma and Nevada.
Since Minnesota is so liberal and doesn't require a license. I don't see how trying to fight them will work.

Well, you'll need to review the lending laws in the state they're licensed in. I can post the laws for those states for you but you really should double check your loan papers to see what address is listed. Also, keep checking back to see if anyone else has any info on them. Here are the laws for the states you mentioned(just select your state),

If I close the account and send out cease and desist letters, along with debt verification. What is the likelihood that they will stop calling my employer. I work in a call center, which is connected to 1000s of employees so they would always get a different person. I can't have that.

Are these all Internet based companies? Sending a cease and desist letter to the original creditor has no legal merit, cease and desist orders only applies to a third party collector, however, I have sent them and it has been effective at times. I really doubt that there is anything you can do to stop them from attempting to contact you at your place of employment, but you can stop them from debiting your account by either placing a hard debit block on it (only Branch Managers are usually authorized to do this) or by closing out your account. Based on what I've read here at the forum BIG is NOT licensed anywhere making them an illegal lender, (I could be mistaken, this info is based on other posts I've read at this forum). If you type in the name of the pdl company into the search box located in the upper right hand corner of this forum you will come up with a list of posts made by other members, browse through them to read about how other members dealt with these companies. As I said, keep checking back to see if anyone else has any further information on these companies.

thats my concern. I can set up repayment plans until the cows come home. I can't have them calling me at work. My voicemail has the 800 number to our company which means they could get anyone of 10000 employees who get the call, and it would come back to me. I am not allowed to change my voicemail to reflect any other number.
If i say i lost me job, would they believe that. I assume not.

I have told them that I am not allowed to get calls at work and to only call my home number. That worked until I defaulted and the CA's were calling me. Then it was a C&D letter to them.
