I just received a phone call at home and work from a Jack Bowen at Legal Mediation Practice concerning a defaulted PDL from e-payday-loan for over $1,100. They say I have until 12:00 pm EST or 50 minutes from now before they make a decision to take legal action either at my home or work. I called e-payday-loan and they said the loan is not even with them anymore. They will not take payment arrangements. I do not have the funds to cover all of the debt right now. What should I do? I want to pay them back. Has anyone heard from them in the past and went beyond their first deadline. What happened to you? Please let me know ASAP.

do search in the upper right.you will find that the word legal in this law violating company is the biggest oxy-moron ever.the pdl they are calling on is illegal and you have probably overpaid in illegal fees.jack bowen(fake name)won't do diddly squat.except to call and threaten more.check your state laws regarding the recording of calls.do this my man floridaron got an out of court settlement from these clowns.first send a DV and C&D letters.send them certified mail return receipt.ron and others have done that and it has served them well.in short tell jack doofus.nothing in writing, no payment.

FIRST, relax. Did they give you any contact information for them?

If they did, send them a debt validation Letter TODAY, certified mail, return receipt. Once you send them the letter and they receive it they are legally prohibitted from suing you prior to validating the debt. (Assuming that they have not done it prior to receipt.)

Also you need to check and see if e-payday-loan is a legal company and also legally able to loan in your state.

Where do you live?
How much was the loan for?
How much have you repaid?
When was the last time you paid anyone on this debt?

LOL!

PaulMergel that's too funny! Il-Legal Medation Mal-Practice puts the MORON in OXY-MORON!

If you have that message and they left it on an answering machine, advising they would take legal action at your home or work, I would absolutely make a copy of that and save it. I would also check your state laws regarding recording phone calls, whether you're a one party or two-party state, and do so whenever you talk to them on the phone! It will definitely come in handy if you decide to sue them for fdcpa violations.

Definitely send them a debt validation letter. You can find examples of them by doing a search in the upper right-hand corner of this page. You can also find their contact information by searching their name, Legal Mediation Practice, in the upper right-hand corner.

I did file suit against these pukes, and they did settle out of court. I could have probably gotten more, since I did have all their illegal phone messages they left on my answering machine saved, and I'm sure it would have been very damaging to them to play those in court.

Also, provide the information Cellular has requested, it will help in determining the PDL laws in your state and how they apply to your situation.

Above all, don't let these idiots scare you!
