I receive a letter from a CA which had my name but the wrong address, so much for small towns. should I use a PO box when mailing the DV letter. what happens if the CA is not bonded to collect in Texas?

thanks.
No it's not an identity theft issue. I was thinking of using my PO Box instead my home address when sending a DV letter.
IS this wise?

The CA is Capital Management Services,LP which I can't find Registered with the BBB or with the state of Texas. However letter states they have been engaged by WWAP II,LLC
what does that mean??

If I reference their letter it will still verify what they think is my home address since it was not mailed to my PO Box.

SOL for TX is 4 years. last pymt was in 8/06 BUT attempted settlement pymts which a lay-off ruined that really good deal for me. I wouldn't even be writing this now!! anyways, made ONE pyment in 4/07 and couldn't fulfill the agreement. But they wouldn't send me a letter of the aggreement or statement of the "new" balance owed. So I didn't pay on the agreement anymore. Just after that a very Nasty CA started calling. He wouldn't mail me S&*^ (we don't mail letters) & wouldn't give me his mailing address. I never rcv'd anything from them. I contacted the OC to tell them of how this CA was collecting and they said I was not even in the their sytem & doesn't show I ever had an account with them. I even told her I owed 10K+ to them. But it's on my CR & I had an acct w/ them. I think it was good reason not to pay!!

Anyways did this payment restart the SOL timeclock??? Need info soon, 3 days to send VD to the new CA.

Send the DV letter using the PO Box as your address along with a limited C&D letter advising them to contact you by USPS only. NEVER agree to a settlement unless it is in writing. If they refuse to put it in writing, DON'T pay them a penny. NO WRITTEN AGREEMENT, NO PAY!!! NO VALIDATION, NO PAY!!! You restarted the SOL by making the payment to them.

Thank you!!!
Nascardevil, You seem to have knowledge for collecting in Texas. Is it normal for the OC not to send aggreement? Now thinking back he acted like a CA. I would think at least for their additional evidence should they still not get their money AGAIN. I would be out of this mess if he would have mailed the thing!!!

So what is your opinion of how I mail this letter - the address the CA used is wrong but living in a small town I still got it. I get calls on cell from the CA but I haven't spoken to them. So they really don't know if they are contacting the correct person. Only leave a msg to call back today to discuss a
very important business matter & that they r a debt collector.

Need advise quickly as my days for DV are dwindling. Thanks!
