I have had great help here getting out of Payday loans. Now I must turn my attention to my credit cards. We have gotten three months behind, as we are playing catch-up on our mortgage. We fell behind due to the economy and my wife's two year battle with breast cancer (she appears to have won that one).

But I filled out all My Debts, including Student Loans I'd taken out for the kid's college, 12 credit cards, two car payments, a secured loan, and medical bills. This would make the fees for help at this site astronmical, over a thousand dollars I obviously don't have.

What is the proper way to get help? Should I just list my credit cards and forget the other stuff? That would still be expensive. And when they say per creditor, does that count as one creditor if we have three cards from them?

Thanks for any help, I need to get this going but I won't have much cash till I get my mortgage caught up (three months).
