has anyone gone to court with these bottome feeders? Rannefeld and Associates. I am in the very beginning stages with them, they have already hung up on me 3 times, thanks to so much good info on this site that I used against them. Sending validation request this week, they have already told me that they would not be sending anything to me, that they do not have to legally. VERY abusive on the phone, this so called Ken Chandler evern SCREAMED at me and tried to put words in my mouth that I was refusing topay. I told them that if I did not have valdidation that I would not be paying them anything. He said well it's your life. Is this a possible threat? They did the same thing w/ me that I have read, demanding payment in full that day or they would be forced to "make reccommendations" whatever! I told them I knew that I had 30 days. Any advice??? I do not want to pay them after the abusive behavior that they have showed me. I would like to pay the original creditor.

I had dealings myself with Ken Chandler...I never did receive a validation from them and have heard nothing since then. I have a recording of him on my phone after I sent them a cease and desist letter.

Send them that letter because they do have to provide documentation of that debt if I am not mistaken. Others will be along as there are a few people here that have had dealings with them.

I think I have read some of your posts about them. I have never in my life been treated the way that they have treated us. I am extremely at a lost of words to describe them. They told me that they could keep calling me everyday as many times as he wanted, we are just not going to answer the phone anymore and save all of our voicemails from them. I have learned alot in these past few days, they have already broken some laws from what I have learned and I'm sure that they will be breaking some more w/ us. I just haven't seen where anyone has actually been summons to court by them, and if they do, wouldn't they have to have all the correct documents before any court proceedings take place? If they can prove that they own the debt and I can not pay the OC at this point then I'll pay, but they can't add any additonal fees until my 30 days are up at least, right?

rannefeld does not buy debt contrary to what bud hibbs says. You might be creating a problem that isn't need if your to resolve your debt especially with a settlment then you should ask for a letter to be faxed I've known many people that have had good and bad experiences which generally could have been avoided. In regards to lady bug all situations are different and they dont have to send you anyting if it is not rqsted in writing also if your trying to get vod 9 times out of time they will probably either sue you after the 30 days is up. and yes check the blogs they havent many cases filed against debtors.
What in the world are you hoping to due honestly sounds like to me you are just stalling and trying to buy yourself some type which is ok but in the end usually catches up with you the more creditors spend own there attorneys the more they ask for in litigation fees from your so time is only going to cost your more interest plus legal fees

I'm not trying to stall, If I do indeed owe the debt it's going to the OC and not some dirt bags that do not know how to treat people or act professional. I have spoken to an attn they have already broken several laws w/me. and yes they do have to provide a validation of the debt. That req has already been sent tothem. You get more w/ sugar than vinegar procollect! They have lied the minute that got us on the phone, I understand they have a demeaning job that isn't very rewarding but that's their problem, if you don't know how to do your job the right way its time to find a new job.

no sounds like someone else is uneducated in the fact that you want to pay the original creditor but if it is with rannefeld then that means it is probably owned by cach llc which would have bought the debt from the original creditor which means all rights have been relinquished the oc as you call it can't do anything so in the end if you do owe it rannefeld will get the money no matter what because clients retain there services and usually not the original creditor which is a good thing for them because the oc are the ones who are very shady offering sif right before they sell off there bad debt which people pay but by the time payment gets to rannefeld or cach sif is null and void you would be stupid to pay the oc if they have sold the debt. I've have known many people personally who have paid the oc after the debt was sold and now cant find the payment or somehow it is lost in the system the oc doesn't have an obligation to forward the payment to the new creditor or should I say there not in a hurry to due so. Also once it is sold most of the time records of the acct or gone so when you call they cant help you and collectors are so dishonest at the oc if you dont know then you should there is no fdcpa that applies for original creditors that is the reason they get away with adding fees and penalities without any ramifications for there actions.
