Yikes, that is bad news indeed. It's enough that even with insurance, health care is so expensive but now patients will be losing an option to help them with their medical expenses.
Sad.
Have you ever seen the Michael Moore film "Sicko?" I finally got to see it a few weeks ago. Very eye opening when it comes to health care expenses, insurance, and universal health care.
I recommend anyone watch it that hasn't seen it.

In fact yes, I did watch that movie Ron, there are a lot of pro's and cons in that movie. I'm not so sure Canada is better off than we are when it comes to health care, I've read some real horror stories about Canadians dying before they were able to receive medical treatment that would have saved their life, had there not been such a long waiting list. :D

I hate to hear that Shazz, that means alot of people won't go for, or get the help they need.
Health care really stinks in this country. My brothers wife had a stroke about a year or so ago. There went that salary, along with him having to take care of her. They have tried to get help with her physical therapy, which is on going, and they make too much money. Now they can hardly buy groceries and cannot afford her meds, but somehow they make too much money!
The costs are tremendous if you have something really bad happen. When mom had her heart attack and had to have her pacemaker/defibrillator put in, the bills were way over $250,000.00.
Well, that's my rant for today--hope they get your card thing going again soon Shazz..karen

I feel for the people who depend on that medical credit card for emergencies, and yes, I agree that the health care system in this country is horrible!

The sad thing is, that the people who depended on that card won't be able to get the help they need. Out government hasn't figured out that if you offer preventative care, that sometimes the problems can be caught and there not be tremendous bills later down the line. They also don't realize that some people depend on those cards just to get their meds and treatments, that they otherwise couldn't get..
Sorry to hear about that..........The health system is not good
