Micheline Messenger, The difficulties experienced by the collection department at Emerald Marketing Group, LLC 080, when attempting to obtain the slightest amount ofcooperation from you have led to your account status being changedto Refusal to Pay/Intentional Neglect. Whether or not you considered it or not, borrowing money andintentionally neglecting to repay what was loaned to you is a seriousmatter and all appropriate actions will be taken to collect this balance.Through your silence and lack of cooperation, it is evident that you haveno intention of paying this loan willingly and further actions mustbe taken. The consequences for the actions that you have taken were clearlyexplained in your signed loan contract. To avoid these consequencesmake a payment by Credit Card or Money Gram by 4:00pm CST today,September 29, 2008, so that this balance can be cleared without furtherincident. Fees are being added to your balance and will not stop until a paymentfinally post to your account.

And there so called contract is bogus..msp..It's a one page contract that states nothing..if you have ever had a pdl with Emerald Marketing you will know..

So how should I handle this one??

borrowed 300.00 there finance charge is 90.00..i just got it Sept 2nd and have closed my account eff 9-15 so I have paid nothing. I looked them up on the BBB website and they have a complaint list a mile long. He has threaten me to send me to the DA's office which I know is bogus. They are out of Nevada and I live in TX..I have 7 more loans out and all done over the internet. So the difference between storefronts and internet loans are the ones that are done via internet are more likely illegal?

i cannot help you on storefronts and i don't know the texas laws but someone will be around to help you. did you report to the BBB? they cannot make bogus threats against you. i had a couple of loans where i paid nothing on at the time (though I have in the recent past at the time) and they did still work with me. however, loans are not legal in my state (NJ) so it might have been easier to get them to work with me. sorry i'm not much help, someone will be along shortly to help you further :)
