I owe them 415.00...300.00 initial loan, plus 115.00 finance charge. I am in Texas. I closed my account a month ago and they said if I don't wire them money by Monday I will be served judgement papers and responsible for all court costs and lawyer fees. I asked if I could split it in two and the gentleman said he does not work for them, only collects on behalf of them, and he could not do that. Should I just send half anyway? Can they serve me?

i don't know if eastside is registered as a CSO.if not they are not licensed in TX.therefore you only owe whay you borrowed.no they can't serve you that fast.that is a scare tactic to get you to pay.

Could they ask for a judgement that quickly? The name of the collector calling on their behalf (but not a collection agency) is ECR, have you heard of them? I am afraid of court costs racking up, or them contacting my employer HR department and causing me embarrassment. My immediate boss is aware of the situation because I did not want her caught off guard.

do you mean ERC?i have never heard of ECR.anyway eastside is a bottomfeeder pdl and whoever collects for them is a bottomfeeder CA.they can't get a judgement within 2 days.that is a scare tactic.they probably can't get a judgement period.being illegal they have no chance of getting
anything done within 2 days.except harrassing phone calls.that is it.
