Judgement Questions

1) If a collection agency has a judgement on me, do they still have to obey a partial cease and desist letter asking them not to contact me by phone? I asked them in the first letter with my paperwork and plan on sending another tomorrow. Just want to make sure it'll do any good.
2) I currently don't have an open bank account and don't plan on opening one soon. I want to pay them by money order. They can't force me to try and open an account to send them my payments, correct?
I'm in Florida if that helps.

When you have a judgement then the entire procedure of debt collection is done through the court and the collection agency is not liable to harass you. Btw what do you mean by "partial" cease and desist letter?
I have found the following information in this forum only: -
Since they already have a judgement, send them a full C&D letter
Since they already have a judgement, send them a full C&D letter, advising them to cease all contact with you, no they can't force you to open a bank account.

I live in Florida. I haven't even really heard back from anyone except from AA trying to call me three times in those two days. They didn't even leave a message saying what they wanted. That was nice of them.

Thanks for that. They won't even be able to get much out of me anyways. I don't own a home, car or have an open bank account right now. So boo hoo for them.
What hurts even more is that I want to get this paid off as quickly as possible and be done with them. I work for tips and offseason + bad economy = little $$. Anyways, I've almost saved up half of what I owe them and should get it sent to them soon as long as they don't throw a fit about money orders. $1600 in the mail should shut them up for a while. I hope.

I have a judgement currently against me and am working to get a car loan. The loan officer wants me to provide proof that I am paying off this judgement but law firm that sued me won't do it. Is this lawful? All I need is a letter from them stating that I am paying them monthly and have been paying on time. I need this car bad. Help!
