OK, my brother did not listen to me and he went and got 2 payday loans. One is from some place called Nationwide and I do not remember the other one. They have totally drained his account and now he is fighting to try to stay afloat. He did not listen to me about how they get you and how it is a vicious circle. Those of you that are considering it, please pay attention, these will not do you any good. All that will happen is that you will get deeper and deeper into debt and next thing you know your whole check is going to pay these loan payments. My brother is now wishing he had listened to me and not gotten involved in these things. He just had to borrow $1000 from mymom and dad and has no idea how he is going to pay them back. He does not even know how long he is going to be able to stay in his rental house because of not having any funds. He said he talked to his bank and theyw ere going to see what they could do, but I told him he still needed to watch his account because these companies are so sneaky and that sometimes things will re-open an account.

Check the laws in your state in regards to payday loans.
Do some research before jumping blindly into these things.
Read what is posted on this board about payday loans.
Talk to others that have been through this
And if you must do this, MAKE SURE YOU CAN PAY THEM IN FULL ON YOUR NEXT PAYDAY!!!!!

Please stay away from them at all costs....they will eat you alive and then spit you out and come back for more.

I am so upset with him right now that it isn't funny. We are in NC and I already had told him that payday loans were illegal in our state, but he went ahead and done this anyway. I wish he had listened to me. Sorry for the venting, but if one person can learn from this, then it is worth it. My brother did not listen and now look where he is at!!!

PREACH my cyber sister PREACH!!!three of my friends were considering these ipdl's.it took alot of effort to convince them not to do it.i found it worth it,but two others didn't listen.now they are regretting it.these pdl's are not worth it people.there are other ways around any emergency.i know alot of people say they can handle it,but as always they get caught like we all were.IT IS NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!

They were one of the ones I dealt with and the one that snuck a check thru on my account!!! Now if he will just listen to me so I can try to help him get out from under them, but I don't know if he will or not. He is one of those that thinks he can do it all on his own. But if he will listen to me, we can get him out from under them. We will see. It just makes me so mad at him for not listening to me when I had been there and done that.

People....please, please do not take out one of these loans. They can practically ruin your life. Stay as far away from them as you possibly can. I know it is tempting to take one of these loans out because they are easy to get, but 90% of them are illegal.

Could you just refer him to this site and tell him to do some searches on Unitedcashloans, and other PDL's? Don't nag at him, just let him know that people are here to help him as much as possible to get out of the PDL cycle. We've all been there, he doesn't need to feel "ashamed," or "stupid," or too proud to ask for help.
