I know that I have asked this question before but would like more advice. Here is my story will try to make it as brief as possible.

I am currently on SSDI for permanent disability as I have MS which does not have a cure. I received the good ole "ticket to work" in the mail which is encouraging me to go back to work. I would like to return to work part-time and I do have an interview scheduled for a part-time job on Friday...would this be a good idea to do or will it screw up my ssdi even though the Feds say it won't (but who can really believe them at this time right). Right now my medicare is paid for and I have medicaide which I can not live without because of the high cost of my medication which is $8,000 a month just for the MS med.

I just don't want them to come back at a later time and tell me I am not eligible for it since I went to work part-time. Any advice would be appreciated and thank you.

Ladybug- I had a friend that worked with this place that got people on disability. He showed me the papers, how to fill them out, etc., and all the ropes of disability. What I am getting to is, my son who got on decided he wanted to work part time. My friend said that although they tell you it is ok, it is really hard to get back on sometimes. He said they figure that if you are able to work, even part time, you don't need the Disability.

I know a guy that went to work for a while, couldn't handle it and tried to get back on SSDI, he finally did, but it took alot of paperwork to do it. If you have a social worker, talk with them and ask questions about getting back on, etc..good luck..karen
