Verify your mailing address and inform them they now have 5 days to send you info on the alleged debt. End the call. Tape it if you can. If you are in a 2-party state, inform him you are recording immediately after you answer.

What you describe is a serious violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. A collection agency can't make any threats while attempting to collect a debt under 15 U.S.C. Section 1692(d). File suit against them in small claims court. Ask for $1,000 in damages for each violation, plus costs, and attorney fees.

i just got a miami address when i searched.doesn't matter.this is an illegal bottomfeeder.i would send a debt validation and cease & desist e-mail.then nail them for there violations.i think that info is just for mail though, but i hope i'm wrong.it would be nice to see one of these criminal CA'S put in there place.
