trying to settle discover

Hi, I was with sifxpert but, am now trying to settle my own accounts. Has anyone had any luck settleing discover or have any experience with them? They are being very difficult and are telling my they do not settle. My account with them is around 10,000 and will be charging off at the end of this month.

They do settle but they are a pain in the butt. They typically want proof of hardship. I would do a budget sheet showing them your hardship and explain to them that you do want to resolve your debt with them but if they aren't willing to work with you, you may have to file bankruptcy. You may even want to see if you can speak with a MGR instead of the regular peon operators. Typically the peons don`t have the authority to make a decision to settle anyways.
