I'm not sure where you are located but Woodforest National Bank has a second chance checking account. They are usually located in Walmarts. I had a lot of stuff reported on checks and they gave me one of their REGULAR accounts, I didn't even have to do the second chance account. Their website is www.woodforest.com

I am so sorry egyptcrossarabs ... not a good thing to be going through I know. You options really depend on where you live. I do have a list of non-chex banks that are listed by each state. If you tell me what is reported, I can make some suggestions
1.HOW OLD IS YOUR REPORT OR GIVE APPROX AGE
2. IS THE REPORT SHOWING PAID?
3. IF NO DEBT IS SHOWN, DO YOU STILL OWE ANY DEBT?
4.DOES THE REPORT INDICATE FRAUD, NSF, or ACCOUNT ABUSE?
5.DO YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE BANK REPORTING YOU?
6. WHO IS THE REPORTING BANK(S)?
7. the state in which you live and your zip code

MCA, I am not sure there is a *report*, but this last fiasco involved a couple of grocery stores. I took care of one that caused my husband not to be able to even write checks on his new account...that was before he left. I know another is showing up on my credit report, which now is in the toilet. I tried at the Credit Union which is where my direct depsoit goes in. They said my credit was too poor.
The new account that I opened after the payday loan thing, is now closed...it ws a joint account.
Where do I start? I mean, from the sounds of it, even if I get an account, I cannot wsrite checks until this is cleared up?
Over a year ago, I had several checks sent back as I had reported that I had lost some checks...this was on an older account...I then called back and said I had found them, but they did not take the ban on them off...so when I used those checks, the bank sent them back. They were at fault, but did not want to pay the service fee for me either? They thought they could just send them a letter and they would take off the fee.
How do I get a report?
I am in TN. Maybe I can still open an account somewhere, then take care of those checks so I can at least write one at Walmarts or the grocery store.
In the mean time, I got one of those Debit cards to pay for stuff online...otherwise I am using cash.

Bank Of America may be an option if they are not the reporting bank (apply online only to know)

Transportation Alliance Bank is one that anyone can get an account at. Just fax in the application and you will have your debit card and checks in about a week or so. Definitely a better alternative in comparison to the pre-paid card you are using.

There are also 3 locations of Renasant banks in nashville if they are not too far from you. As long as you do not owe them any money, you can get an account with them. They do not use chexsystems at all
