As well you shouldn't!

You know what they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Should you be flattered?

If someone feels threatened enough to try assuming your screen name and posting garbage on here, they must feel threatened by what they have read of your posts and the information provided. Probably some bottom feeding CA employee.

I say, keep up the good work!

No you can't go to jail for not paying a debt, unless you were intentionally committing fraud. If you start a new topic in the payday loan section, list the names of your pdl's, whether they are Internet or Store front, amount borrowed and amount paid, and the state you reside in, we can help you!

Apologies to the real Florida Ron, but I just did this to prove a point and won't use this ID again. This is really Freaky Friday. All I had to do was go to the community signup and put in the fake e-mail address "Florida_Ron@hotmail.com" and the system automatically assigned me a membership under his name. The only difference is the underscore. A troll could raise real havoc on the boards by doing this to any of us, like they did to Paul, because the slight difference probably wouldn't be noticed by a casual user or guest. This really needs to be tightened up.

great point freaky, but since i'm on here almost everyday.i will be sure to look for that.no matter which member is under fire.i know some have done it as a jest with the member's consent.i don't begrudge that.it's when someone posts with one of our names under the guest or does what my doppleganger tried.

Well, yeah I knew you could alter the name somewhat by adding spaces, underscores, dots, etc. I just misunderstood paulmergel's original comment when he advised someone had taken his name; I thought it was the original "paulmergel" name instead of "paulmergel1111."

I think some yahoo was making furn of me once, and was using the "guest" screen name of "UnemployedJon", which was a variation of my old screen name. He never had the stones to actually register, though. Was too much of a coward.

I wonder whatever happened to him? He said he was going to be "keeping an eye on me and my posts." I was so excited, I thought I had my first "Internet Stalker."

But he was just teasing me, though.
