BOA wants bank info before letter

I'm 4 mos late with all cc companies and therefore trying to settle before a chargeoff! BOA called and offered a settlement of $6500 on a $24000 debt payable over 4 mos. I immediately agreed but they won't put it in writing unless I give them my bank info and let them post date payments. 5hould I trust them?
