Financial Solutions/Rise Above Debt....any suggestions...

There are a lot of company's by the name Financial Solutions. Do you have the address for them ? As far as Rise Above debt relief, LLC , they are members of the BBB and USOBA so they have a pretty good reputation however it never hurts to shop around with tons of different companies and compare.

I'm also looking into Rise Above Debt. I can't seems to find any bad reviews or problems with them. We'll see how the rep answers my questions. I have had some of my credit cards for a long time. I think that my father might have co-signed for one back in 1990 and another in 1998. I'm wondering if there is a "statue of limitations" for the co-signer's liability. Can the card company come back on him now, 10+ years later? If any one has input on that let me know.

I had a very encouraging discussion with Porter at Rise Above Debt service. I feel very confident that they will be the best company for me to work with. They are very thorough in the initial consultation and figuring out the best option for you, whether it would be through their services or not. They seem very honest and have very good ratings with BBB. They have all of the necessary affiliations/acrediations. They do not take money up front as a "retainer". Their fees are all worked into what ever monthly amount you are able to pay. My plan will be very do-able for me. As I get salary increases during the program, I will be able to increase my monthly savings amount and shorten the length of the program considerably.

They are very honest about the nasty creditor phone calls but they explain exactly how to handle them. I was advised to call my credit card companies to make sure any "additional users" or co-signers were removed from the cards (not telling the creditors why). It's ended up there were no add'l users or co-signers on any of them.
Rise Above ENCOURAGES their clients to call them with all concerns, questions, problems through the program and if they don't answer your call immediately, they will get back to you within 24 hours. They also have a bank of lawyers that are available for any legal advice/questions you may have while you are in the program.
They only have about 2% of their clients that end up having cards that refuse to settle (I think they have 20,000+ clients per year if I remember correctly). If you are one of those 2%, they guide you through the court process, which is actually a very simple procedure.
I hope that helps you with your decision. I will try to keep you posted on how the program continues to go for me, but so far, I feel very confident and RELIEVED that I've finally taken this step. I should be out of debt in 2 1/2 - 4 years from now!

I just recently signed on with them & they are really good! Kevin was a great help. He walked us through & got us a reasonable monthly payment. I did my research and only found one complaint which is was resolved. Other than that there reputation is satisfactory on BBB. Thanks Kevin for helping us!

Which company did you sign up for, LEANNE? I would like to know. trying to consider some 'options' myself.

Well I know someone who is using Rise Above Debt and they are collecting from her bank account money for lawyer fees-seems like they will never actually get started getting her a program going. How long does it usually take?
