Has anyone used this company that was facing a foreclosure? Did they do what was promised, or is it just a scam?

I don't work for this company, but I write articles for ForeclosureFish.com (actually the site is sponsored by them, they are not the same company)
ForeclosureFish is a site with tons of information and do it yourself stuff, but if you need actual help, or if you can't stop the foreclosure on your own, the debt advocacy center is able to provide help (for a fee, of course). Foreclosurefish has a membership section you can use too, it's foreclosurefish.com/members (login/pass is fullaccess/members)

The debt advocacy center doesn't have any negative stuff on the bbb and google doesnt have anything either when you type in their name. Usually when people are getting scammed, the bbb is the first to know.

these people suck. i had a bunch of questions, they gave me answers but their info was contrary to all my own digging around on the web. then they had the guts to tell me they cannot give me anymore free advice and to stop wasting thier time. i am like what? advice or not, if they do their jobs as they say they do, then they need to do work and negotiate... i am not doing the negotiating... i don't think thier front line people really know what they are talking about. they may know some surface stuff... just enough to get the sale i guess... that to me equals big bunch of crap. not proffessional.

You were probably speaking with a local company that you were referred to after completing the form. If you just want information about foreclosure and not someone to do the work for you, you need to speak directly with us, at foreclosurefish, not a 3rd party company. Feel free to email any questions to help(at)foreclosurefish.com and you'll get an answer without a sales pitch. We don't sell any services or products at foreclosurefish.

This company is a major scam associated with the Debt Advocacy Center located in Ohio and Delray Beach Florida and formerly Credit Law Group in Boca Raton Florida where there boiler room tactics took unsuspected peoples money like me, that stole our money! The DAC and Credit Law Group are now under a federal indictment with the lawyers Ed Davidson, Glenn Gromann and John Smith and Kevin McCormick. They are all complete money hungry scammers preying on people in desperate times. Under further searches we have done Smith and Gromann share the same office with foreclosure.com based upon an address search formerly at 2201 corporate blvd now 1095 broken sound way. Interesting but not sure if it is signifigant but Smith and Gromann are probally working with that company too? BEWARE to all stay away from Debt Advocacy Center, Credit Law Group, and foreclosure.com or foreclosurefreesearch.com or quicksale.com based upon address business search. Sounds like these companies are all working together to screw people over, now the government is shutting them all down as they are doing right now and siezed all assets of theirs! BUYER BEWARE FRAUDULENT SCAMMERS

S & G was (and still are) a well respected Law Firm in Palm Beach County, FL.

The Obama Admin changed the HAMP / loan modification guidelines in 3/2009.

S & G quickly outsourced the files to a couple of companies that avowed they could meet the need to sit on hold for 10++ hrs per file, listen to 10++ voice mails from clients that retained service. And..

Yes, I am really pissed off that S & G didn't do what I was hoping Tinker Bell would do. I wished upon a STAR and got no where. Well, actually I did.

Me and mine are now living in an affordable rental and Smith & Gromman made sure I walked away without a defientcy judgm=ent.

Sorry some are pissed off but I'm not.

Yes i agree with yu. we haired smith n gromman a year ago after our mortgage company jacked up our payments and empited our escrow. our case changed hands several different times. last week i was working with a guy from rapid short sale who was subcontracted by smith n gromman. today was the sale date for our home, and after several attempts toget a hold of this guy he sent me an email saying he was no longer working with smith n gromman. we are Screwwed!!!

I know all of the people that run that company. Basically its Maurice Jackson running the office. Brad Geisen is the owner. Not sure what Patrick Butler did but he is part of the group. They had Mike LaRocca doing short sales. Glenn Gromann and John Smith were the attorneys. Gromann seemed to have his hand in everything. They had employees in different offices in 2009 and they just let everyone go. They would promise their clients that they would get a modified rate on their home only to take their money upfront and not return phone calls. Brad Geisen also owns foreclosure.com
The loan modification company site was creditlawgroup.com but as you can see if you go there is not much left. The government is after them so I would suggest not doing any business with these people.

I recently was in foreclosure and the was able to help me with my mortgage. I was behind and they were able to stop foreclosure on my house. I got a reduced interest rate. My late payments were waived and I got to keep my home. I was worried at first, but they had a lot of references and clients they had helped who were willing to tell me how great the company was. I was nervous, so I actually called the references they gave and to my surprise, they were a very reputable company. They even provided me with copies of modifications they had done for other people. I would recommend this company to anyone who does not think they can do it themselves.

Solicitation removed.
