They are one of the better settlement companies out there. They are members of the BBB and USOBA. Plus I believe they offer a 55 % settlement money back guarantee , so basically if they can`t settle the debt for at least 55 % or lower they refund you. They are certainly not the only good settlement company out there but one of the best . If you choose to hire a company to settle for you instead of settling these debts on your own than they are one of your better choices.

Thanks for the info. They've sent me a proposal and that guarantee was included. They seemed willing to work with me and they indicate their fee would only be 5.5% as opposed to others I've seen in threads here that paid 10 to 15%. They were referred to us after we could not refinance a mortgage by the mortgage company as a way to lower our debt to income ratio. I think I will try my self first to see how successful I can be.

Has anyone heard of Barrister Corporation or Klosk Law Firm are they reputable?

We are in the process of going with klosk law firm out of Ca. Their fee is included and I believe she said it's 16%? She said they can settle a 39,000 debt down to 27,000 and paid of in 3 years at 750. per month. Is that good? can

Im in process with them....so far they have been good. I was in another program that was not managed by lawyers, so i feel better about it. I hope they continue to do what they have been doing.

They settled out a card for me with a balance of 14,000.00 for 1530.00 I couldn't be happier

Can not find information for them and i am feeling a little iffy now

i was going to work with klosk law firm, until i found out they are a debt settlment company....bad news if you ask me. wouldnt work with them. do the research on what debt settlement companies do.

Klosk can help with both debt management and debt settlement. I signed up with them in July. I did not want to hurt my credit, and i was able to make my payments on my cards....they just werent going anywhere. From what they told me, they only reccomend debt settlement if you are unable to repay your debts and dont want to file for BK. The management plan that i got gave me an avg reduced rates of about 9% or so, and even though my payment is not life changingly low, it has me scheduled to be out of debt in 4.25 years as opposed to 25 years if i had continued on the same path.

:confused:I am looking as using Zimkus and Associates and Klosk Law Firm what happens at the end with your creditors! Were you still able to apply for credit and get good interest rates?

If you end up doing this, the debt forgiveness is taxable income. Just thought that was good information to share.

the firs thing to look for is an HONEST company that knows what they are talking about. that has your best interest MOST DONT!
