I RCVD A CALL FROM THIS COMPANY STATING THAT THEY HAD A SUMMONS AND THAT I NEEDED TO CALL THEM BACK. I CALLED BACK BECAUSE I HAD NO IDEA WHAT THEY COULD BE TALKLING ABOUT AND WHEN A WOMAN ANSWERED SHE SAID THE COMPANY'S NAME WAS CHECK RESLUTIONS, I THAN INQUIRED ABOUT THE CALL I RCVD AND SHE STATED THAT I WAS GOING TO BE SERVED A SUMMONS FOR A OUTSTANDING PAYDAY LOAN FROM A FEW YEARS AGO. WHEN I TRIED TO GET MORE INFORMATION THEY STARTED BLOWING ME OFF AND PUTTING ME ON HOLD. WHEN SHE CAME BACK ON THE PHONE I DEMANDED FOR HER TO GIVE ME THE INFO AS TO WHERE THE SUMMONS WAS SENT IN MY COUNTY THAT IS WHEN SHE SAYS OH IT WASN'T SENT YET IT'S GOING TO BE.

CAN A COLLECTION COMPANYH CLAIM TO BE DIFFERENT PEOPLE AND ETC AND GET AWAY WITH IT???

HOW CAN I REPORT THEM????

I have recieved the same kind of call. The first phone call I got the guy never said his name , the company name or anything. He just said call this number and here is a reference number. When I called the guy told me to make a payment arrangement right away , if I did not then I would be summoned on my job. He claimed they sent me a letter but that is not true. I told him that I had to first figure out what payment arrangment I could make and he got really ugly and stated that once I was served then it was out of there hands. He got really nasty and hung up. I am going to research them and have my sister do this also because she is an attorney. If anyone else have any information please email me at personal information removed

I had the same call and i actually paid the guy back in Oct and still have yet to see a receipt that i paid them. I contacted them again this morning and he said he would email it immediatley but he never did. I'm not sure what to do. I think it was a scam because the people he told me i owed the number is not even connected anymore.

I recieved a second call from this unprofessional company to my Job !!! Man I felt like going of on that A$$hole but I had to keep in mind that I was @ work and just simply clicked on him. He threatened that he was going to come visit me tommorow at work. LOL...

I spoke to this company around the 1st of December and the lady that was about to "serve me" said we could meet so I could do this where no one would see it unless I called and made payment arrangements ASAP, so she gave me their number and the one she gave me was disconnected, so I waited until the next day and she called again and I called her on it and she gave me another number to call, so I called and told the man "Bob" what had happened and he wanted me to pay them half now and half next month and they would take off $130, but it had to be from a credit card only, so I told him to send it to me in writing and he said he would that day and it is now 12-16-08 and I have nothing in my hand. I spoke to the hot check dept. in our courthouse and they told me that they were playing us and that we could make arrangments according to our money and if they did not want the money bad enough then they could do what they had to do. He feels like they are trying to scare people into things. He had no knowledge of any summons being issued and if there was, it was only say for us to appear in court and if we did not then they could get a judgement against us. He said dont to worry about it. They also called my son and gave him the spill as well and it was a man named "Kevin" so I called them back for him and there was no one by the name of "Kevin" there. I ask them what kind of company they are and they said a check fraud recovery and internet fraud. I said why are you listed as a collection agency??? I find it odd that the people calling saying they have a summons for you, shows up on your phone as unavaialbe. How lucky for them.

they got me too. i made payment arrangements already and they keep taking money out of my account. i dont know who to report this to so i called them back and told them to put a hold on the next payment because i couldnt pay it. well they did. they told me they were working through a government bank when i first spoke to them 2 months ago and that they didnt make the decisions and now he was able to put a hold on my account?? i dont understand. i need help cause i am a single mother with 4 children. this doesnt make any sense!!

You need to either close your account or talk with the bank to have a block put on your account. Never give your bank information to anyone.

I just got the same phone call looking for my ex husband. Knowing my ex like I do, I figured he got himself into trouble and now they were calling to collect on a debt he owes to someone. He gave me the name of "Anthony" and a phone number 888-601-0060 where my ex could reach him to discuss arrangements. I figured I'd do a google search on the company and I found this forum. He didn't give me much information other than my ex would receive a summons in the mail to appear in court or he could call and straighten it out before the summons would be sent. I thought it a little weird but when it comes to my ex, I never know.

so are they just a collection agency? Same thing here...888-995-0615. Can they get you for fraud and hot check by an electronic check?

no they can't debts are civil matters.even if you gave them an actual check they would have to prove fraud.so yes they are a collection agency and a bottomfeeder one at that.

I got the call at work today. I don't answer the calls when they first come in so my colleague asked for a name, as is our procedure. He said his name was "David Kole" and he was a process server. When she told me he was on the phone, I'm thinking, "Since when do process servers call you?!" I had her take a message and he left the number 888-601-0060, along with a claim number. Well, knowing that if he was REALLY a process server he would just show up, I decided not to worry about it too much. If it happens, it happens. At least I would get my day in court for whatever he was calling about. But then I couldn't stop thinking that he was lying. Like I said, Process Servers don't call ahead! Their whole job is to catch you in person (I have a friend who does this). I am curious by nature, so I decided to search google and stumbled across this site/forum. I'm glad I did. I now know that I can totally relax and next time they call, we will forbid them from calling me at work. This is a fraudulent claim from three years ago for which I had asked repeatedly for proof that I authorized the transaction (I never did - I do not due online payday loans - for this very reason!). In the years since they originally contacted me, they never have been able to provide the proof I have requested. Now, years later, they are calling me at work. I will be taking matters into my own hands to get this resolved. Without proof, they have no right to call me. I think it is time I got a REAL process server to serve THEM.

I just got a call from a guy stating that was trying to help me out and that i need it to call 1888-601-0060 i spoke with jeff, he stated that they were going to send me to court for fraud and i explained him that, i closed the bank account years ago and that i was not aware of it....
Something didn't sound right so i google the company name and found this forum,,, 2 things. Do you thing that if i setle with them they would just steal my money??? can they really sentd me to court, is that legal?? please i need some info !!!!

What state do you live in? They can file suit legally only if the debt is still w/in your states Statute of Limitations.

i live in tampa, florida but i really dont want to deal with this people , im gonna figure out who reported me and pay them directly !!

Is this for a returned check? Can't find FL's Bad Check statutes so I'm not sure if this would fall under the 4 or 5 year SOL.

This is a scam and they only have partial information about you. By giving them the rest of your information you will open your checking/savings account to anyone associated with them. I got a call today from these people. The first call I got was from a man he would not tell me who he was all he said was that he was with Dallas County and that I need to call Check Resolutions at 888-995-0615. He suggested that I call right away to prevent from being summoned. So I call and the guy that I talked to said that his name was Mr. Vasquez. He was rude and said that i needed to pay them today. I advised that I didn't have the money and he said that I needed to ask someone to help me by giving me their credit card or debit card. I told him that I didn't have anyone and he said "So then your not wanting to resolve this issue? Well then I can take care of it with the court. He asked how long would it take for me to get the money. I told him 1 month and he said "NO thats not going to work. When Can I expect a phone call back to resolve this issue?" I said I didn't know and he got loud and said that I need to call him back today by 5pm." I hung up on him. Is this a collection agency?

slujan, While it may be a collection agency, in my book it isn't a legal one. Any "legal" collection agency wouldn't be threating court action without no prior notice, without no communication by mail etc.

I received a call from one of their representatives following the same scheme as the ones stated above. I spoke with my lawyer regarding what happened and she stated that you can not have criminal charges filed against you for consumer debt. they can file suit against you in court to garnish your wages, or sue you for the money, but it is illegal and against the Fair Debt collection practices act for them to falsly accuse you of committing a crime, threaten you with jail time, state that you have broken a law, deny you legal council, as my representative did when he told me that I did not have time to call my lawyer. They also said that they represented a governement agency (sherrifs dept, or atty generals office) and since I had filed bankruptcy on my debt a year ago, they broke the law by contacting me and trying to collect a debt that was included in the bankruptcy...I suggest contacting an attorney if these calls persist. They are illegal and I hope that each one of you reports this collection agency to the Better Business Bureau (they also have an address on file for this company) and also report them to the FCC...the governent agency who monitors these companies.
If they continue with their blatantly illegal collection practices it is well within your rights to sue them.
Please become informed with the Fair debt collection practices act and know your rights.

I, too, was contacted by this company today, in representation of cashnetusa. An online pdl that was done in November 2007! Nothing has been sent to my address & they wanted a payment today, over the phone, to prevent a summons being delivered. I refused to give any info & the lady began to yell at me so I hung up on her. What is the statute of limitations & how do go about getting this resolved without giving them any bank info over the phone? (she refused to wait for a payment to be mailed in) Is it possible to deal directly with cashnetusa? Thanks in advance!

I was contacted by a guy name Seth Miles from this company today. Threatening the same that I would be serve for internet fraud, bank fraud. When I began to question him he started yelling at me. This was with regards to a Cash Net USA account from 2007.

my sister got a call from someone saying they were from federal check processing and investigation network she told me they were goin to bring charges against me so i called them and asked what law enforcement they were with. The lady i spoke to said they work with various agencies .I asked to speak with who ever was in charge of my case the lady i was transfered to said the debt was from cashnet and they know of the hack so i asked how they got the debt she said it was from dmp and transfred me to her supervisor he told me i owe 500 and to pay soon or they were goin to file check fraud charges
I cant find any info on the phone numbers they call from or the ones they have me call.I cant find anything with their name on it all i have been able to find out is that cashnet gave the debt to dmp but they dont answer the phone anyone know about these companies?

This a total scam!! Don't talk with or deal with them!!!
