what's the usual fee for debt settlement. this attorney will be charging me and my husband 12% of our debt 60,000. it's also going to be an overtime payment to him. He is under the name lal law- office is in Natomas, Ca. He was referred to us by our modification loan representative to our home.

You mean it would be 15% of what is totally owed? For example...if you owed $1000.00, you would pay 15%, on top of the $1000.00? Gosh.....that would be alot of money, if you have a very high debt.
