if they sue and win? And can "judgement proof" apply to people who not only get SS? I don't receive SS or any disability, but I make very little and don't own any cars or a home. Just the little money I make my from job.

it depends on what state your in?in illinois, the cap on a garnishment is 15% of disposable income.there is no judgement proof.the CA may not get any payment, but the judgement stays on your record.i think at least 7-10 yrs.so there is no such a thing as judgement proof.per say.

let's clarify.you said you might be judgement proof.that is not the case.they might not be able to garnish or collect, but they can still get a judgement.that can remain on your record for 7-10 yrs.now let's say you come into some money.you inherit or win the lottery, the CA that got the judgement can try to collect on the judgement then.know what i mean?there is no such a thing as judgement proof.collection proof yes,but not judgement proof.
