Too Many Store Front Loans To Pay Back
Date: Thu, 10/23/2008 - 16:14
Recently I overdrafted by about 1,000 dollars. My check was direct deposited into the account which left me with -$200 account balance. My car payment was due so I freaked out and had to take out multiple internet payday loans and store front loans. I'm trying to take care of this mess and get everything paid back so I can have my financial situations straightened out. This overdraft has negative affected me for months now almost. I've been trying to deal with all of this all on my own, but I realized I can't get myself outta this mess with no help so I recently enlisted with a payday debt solution company for the internet loans. Unfortunately now i'm left with my the burden of figuring out how to payback my store front loans, some of which are past due.
This is a list of my storefront payday loans and the amount financed (excluding fees):
CA Check Cashing-$150 PAST DUE!
Advance America- $255
Check N' Go- $225 PAST DUE!
ACE Cash Express- $250 WILL BE PAST DUE TMO 10/24/08
I read from other members posts that I can go to Advance America and ask to enter into an installment agreement since they are memers of the CSFA( not sure if i mixed up those letters).
Can someone please offer me some advice? I've found a lot of the information on this site to be helpful so maybe someone can give m some advice for my particular situation.

I had experience with storefront payday loans in the past. I should've learned my lesson but unfortunately got myself into a pickle again with Internet loans.
In my experience, I explained to them that I did not have the funds to pay them. They resisted payment plans for the first week or so, after which they started suggesting their own plans which were still unreasonable based on my situation. It wasn't until they sent me to their corporate office for collections that I was able to make arrangements that I could handle.
This probably wasn't the best way to handle it. Someone on the site probably can suggest a better method.

Hi Alyssa ~
What state are you in?
Also...how much were the orginal loan amounts? How much have you already paid? This will be important to know when it comes to the internet pdls.
As for the storefront, make sure you keep in communication with them since they are legal companies.

I've been doing a lot of reading on this website and i actually found that one of the internet companies I got a pdl from isnt licensed in my state, do i have to let my the company helping me with my debt know, or would they already know?
Where can i find a list of internet pdl companies licensed in California?

Re Advance America loan
Hi AlyssaD. I know exactly how you feel. I am on the verge of foreclosure due to the payday loan cycle. I live in CA and contacted Advance America on the day my loan was due. They told me that I had to come in that same day (and absolutely no later) to enter into an Extended Payment Plan with them. They agreed to let me make (4) payments of $75 each with the first payment starting on my following pay period. They said they could not extend it more than 60 days but they did not charge me anything additional.
Check N Go wouldn't offer me any extended plan once my loan was due. They said I should have came in the day prior to my loan being due. They did offer to let me pay them in two installments to include the loan, interest and a $15 NSF fee.
ACE corporate has been contacting me non-stop at work even though my boss asked them to stop. I actually have not spoken with them as I am not even able to make an offer to them.
Best of luck to you!!!!
