Debt Settlement Question

Can somebody tell me what a reasonable settlement offer I can expect to make for my portion of medical expenses for some out-patient surgery? In percentage terms that is.
My plan is 70/30, leaving me with a larger amount that I would have ever guessed.

If they are in collections, medicals are typically sold off at 45 cents and will settle anywhere from 60-70%. I've seen very few cases that get 50% and below.

Actually this was the first payment request for my obligations from the hospital. They just accepted 60% if paid in full- which I accepted.
Thanks. Still a lot of $$$, but the sting is a bit less painful.
