I received a default judgment in the mail today. My husband and I had to quit paying our credit cards because our mortgage went up significantly about a year ago, and his mother is unable to work (waiting on disability) so we are paying her mortgage and power bill as well. Our property is in my husband's name only. The only thing I have in my name is an old car and my name is on our checking account. We have no extra money to make payments on this judgment. I want to know what they can do to try and get this money. I know wage garnishment is not legal in SC, but what about freezing our bank account?? Is there anything else they can do?

Also, the card I received judgment against was in my name only and I had it since before we were married.
