Somehow I misplaced the name of the company. There is a debt relief Co. in Southern California that only requires you pay AFTER the debt is settled. Which one is it? thank you~ 8)

I've never heard of such a thing. Most of the agencies work out a payment plan you pay them and they deal with you creditors making monthly payments to them based on the payments you've made. Unless they are reputable I don't think I would really trust that they are working to settle your debts just delaying the inevitable...more late/missed payments and finance charges. Please respond back if you remember which company it is, someone here has probably heard of them.

Usually companies want their money 'up front' or some kind of monthly payment, ALONG with the 'debt' money you agree to pay. A few companies i wanted to go through said in their 'ads' they "ask for nothing up front." However...talking to them, this was a different story. Just becarful and make sure they are a legit company. SOO many of them just 'take your money and run.'
