Not everyone has access to fax machines, and a lot of people don't want to use their fax machines from work. Just as a tip, I used efax.com to do all my faxing. You can sign up on their website for a 30 day free trial ... fax all your c&d letters ... and then cancel the service before being charged. Just in case anyone out there was having trouble getting to a fax machine. Using efax, you don't have to worry about the pdl companies sending back faxes to your work. It is very convenient.

yep..thnaks alot. Faxing IS faster than mailing things. However.....I've known some CA's who said they "don't except things faxed..only mailed." Which is a bunch of crap, cuz, I'd think if you mailed it, they could say they never got it. If you fax something, is there some kind of 'proof' you have that the CA received it? I know you would have the Fax number..and all. But, couldn't they do the same...say "we never received it."

You do receive a confirmation email saying whether the fax was transmitted successfully or unsuccessfully. Here's what I received after faxing to a pdl company ...

[quote]Re: Cease and Desist Letter

The 2 page fax you sent through eFax.com to 18006710131 was successfully transmitted at 2008-10-10 22:58:43 (GMT).

The length of transmission was 97 seconds.

The receiving machine's fax ID: 800-671-0131.

If you need additional assistance, please visit our online help center at http://www.efax.com/help/.
Thank you for using the eFax service.

Best Regards,

Ok..I see. I suppose no one would 'dispute' the fact that they received it. Thanks for the info.
