bankruptcy or settlement

my car was registered to a differerent address(private mail agent) than my home, the insurance co. said my rates had been too low and would not cover $21,000.00 when the car was stolen. this is my ONLY debt and ONLY negative on my credit report. should i try debt settlement or bankruptcy?

I dunno what your exact situation is, but damned if I'd file BK over $21k. Was that the total value of the car, or the difference between value and settlement?
